The American Frog Day takes place on distinctive days every year in different locations in a state, depending on an individual’s choosing to host a festivity.

The day aimed to celebrate, organize get-together and share information for everybody interested in a captive breeding and the study of the poison dart frogs with the other amphibians. The event is not just important for those people who are keeping poison dart frogs with the other amphibians as their hobby, but also to those people who wish to study them with scientific purposes.

This event is also another fundraiser for protection efforts and is the best place to determine educational opportunities in the related fields.

AMERICAN FROG DAY HISTORY

The American Frog Day has been celebrated each year on unlike dates at diverse places throughout the state. Charles ‘Chuck’ Powell began in San Jose the first ever American Frog Day. Powell together with his family who hosted the festivities for 10 years now and this event became a totally famous and important gathering of scientists, hobbyists, and conservations who are interested in the Dendrobatid frogs, typically known as the poison dart frogs. Their focus also widened starting from frogs to every kind of amphibians and some other residents of the vivariums.

This event is vital for everybody who had been interested in a captive breeding and the raising of the poison dart frogs with some other amphibians since this is the place to purchase supplies, exchange information, and even buy the frogs themselves.

Seeing that the event gets bigger and attracted the wider audiences, it became a very important space for an exchange of information and ideas about these remarkable kinds of animals and also the opportunity for ecologists to discuss the research.
